Here is the object in 3D along with its 2nd drawing which we will learn to model in this post. I recommend you to switch to drafting and annotation workspace for this drawing, you can besides download CAD files for this tutorial here.

Step one

Create the following circles using CIRCLE command from draw panel of abode tab, make sure circle with radius 2.5 units has its center on the circumference of the circumvolve with radius 26 units.

Step two

Select Polar Array from the Modify panel of Domicile tab and select two small circles on the peak of geometry. At present specify the centre of the largest circle as the center of the array and enter 4 in the Number of Items field. You will get an array similar the one shown in the image beneath.

Step 3

Delete the biggest circle and select FILLET command at present enter R on the control line and type 7 as the fillet radius. At present use this fillet at the intersections of the circle with R2.5 and R22.5 equally shown in the image beneath.

Pace 4

Trim all the geometries to arrive expect like the epitome beneath.

Step v

Type J on the command line and press enter then select consummate geometry and printing enter again. This will join all external 2D segments into a single unit of measurement. You may need to repeat the JOIN command couple of times to join the geometry completely.

Footstep half dozen

Alter view to southwest isometric and visual manner to Shaded from Views and Visual styles console of Visualize tab.

Step 7

Type PRESSPULL on the command line and click at a location inside the geometry, make sure you are clicking within the geometry and non on the geometry. Enter the height of iii units on the command line and press Enter again.

7

This command volition add together the thickness of iii units to the 2nd geometry which we have made and so far and your drawing will look like the epitome shown in a higher place.

Step 8

Create a circumvolve of R17 on the top of the object made in previous stride, but for making a circle on superlative airplane you lot need to make sure that dynamic UCS is turned on. Press F6 to turn on dynamic UCS then select circumvolve command and move your cursor to the elevation airplane and click at the center of geometry for circle's center and enter a radius of 17 units and press Enter once more.

8

Step 9

Type EXT on the command line and press enter then select the circle we have fatigued in previous pace and press enter once more. Enter a height of 5.five units and press enter once more to leave the extrude command.

9

Step 10

Now create some other circle of radius 14 units with the aforementioned middle on top of geometry which we have drawn in the previous stride and extrude it by 3.5 units the same way we did previously.

10

Step 11

Now type Matrimony and Press ENTER then select complete geometry and press enter over again, this volition ensure that all geometries become combined as a single unit of measurement.

Footstep 12

Create a circle of R11 on the superlative nearly surface of the geometry. At present type PRESSPULL on the control line and printing Enter then click inside the circle of radius xi units and enter -12 as depth of geometry, this will make a hole in existing geometry.

Stride 13

Type F on the control line and press enter to showtime fillet command, type R on the command line and enter a radius of 1.5 units for the fillet. Now select the edge between the flat piece and the biggest cylinder as shown in the image below and press enter twice to exit the command.

12

The last geometry volition await like the image shown to a higher place. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial if you take any questions regarding this tutorial let me know in the comments below.
